The precision of an Intel® microprocessor allows the ultimate in control and ease of use for the best possible results. Mold repair is as easy as positioning repair material over the damaged area and spot welding it in place using a silver tungsten electrode. A continuous weld is produced using a rolling technique while the KwikWeld unit pulses at a preset rate. The non-arcing welding process produces very little excess heat so delicate parts aren't damaged during the welding process. The KwikWeld process permanently welds the repair material to the steel surface while hardening it at the same time. The repaired area is then ready for conventional finishing which is greatly simplified because the amount and location of the filler material is more closely controlled than with an arc type welding process. Many repairs can be done without even pulling the mold, saving countless hours of setup time!!
